As a young man, David Reynolds moved to Alaska in search of adventure and inspiration. He found both. He was a commercial fisherman/carpenter by day...avid songwriter by night. It turns out that a few people enjoyed those songs! With an acoustic guitar and a microphone, he began performing at the Ketchikan bars and coffeeshops. He achieved a hearty following and enough songs for a record. David recorded "Partial to Blue" in 2008, and it was an instant success. He began performing locally, regionally, and now he is touring the U.S. (with plans to go farther, of course:)
"I haven't quite figured out what people like about these songs...but there's something to it. My writing comes from my life experience. I have lived for long periods of time with absolute joy in my heart, and I have also endured some unthinkable tragedies. Most people can relate to that, I guess. In the end, I believe that we can use our minds and energy to do great things." -David Reynolds
David's fanbase and support group have been growing exponentially. He recorded a second album in 2010, "Go Along Blind", which also saw success immediately. He is currently working on a third set of songs, due to release in early 2012. If you like classic rock, or folk music, or the blues.. or you just like the sound of a guy singing with an acoustic guitar..then you should probably give it a listen. You won't be sorry.
"David is a consummate performer, gauging his audience and playing to them. His voice is amazing, and his guitar skills, superb." -Debby Otte, Monthly Grind
